DREAMS CAN COME TRUE

I called one of my coworkers several times this early morning hoping to switch the day with her, but she didn’t pick up. While I was cooking this morning, I received a text message from my boss that I had an appointment at 10:00 a.m as soon as we open. What a great way to start my birthday! As a reliable worker, I have never called in sick while I worked for the LA County 19 plus years and almost a year with this new company. I am grateful for my good health.

It was rather a busier day than normal which made my day went faster. I believe this was the first time I worked on my birthday. Having just a few hours a week, I didn’t mind going to work on my special day. I believe soon I will get more hours and have more clients to see throughout the week. Adjusting to changes can be challenging! I have nothing looking up, but I have a lot when I look down. First and foremost, I have my family and friends who love and care for me. Second, I have a good head on my shoulder and a warm heart.

Today, for the first time, I spoke to the homeless lady at work. I asked what her name was, and she said Pearl. I repeated her name, and she said with one L only. “My name is Crystal,” I introduced myself. Pearls and crystals can make beautiful jewelries as I thought silently. I have seen her around for months for there is a public restroom where she uses it to wash herself.

I use our company address for my nonprofit organization mainly helping the homeless, but I have not had time to apply for the tax ID or governmental grants yet. However, seeing several homeless hanging around here makes me want to get the ball rolling sooner than later.

Everyone has issues, big or small. The rich can also be as miserable as the poor. It’s how you handle your issues. Stay calm and never stop losing faith. Do good to people, and it will come back to you tenfold. ♥️

p.s. I wore this t-shirt today where I bought it from Susan Boyle as she inspired me with her American Got Talent audition where it went viral many years ago: https://youtu.be/yE1Lxw5ZyXk
